New Delhi - For the first time in history, India will host Formula 1 race. To open the race's pole position, at lease the legendary American rock band, Metallica. Metallica will perform on October 28 in a concert entitled F1 Rocks in the city of Gurgaon, the neighboring town of Greater Noida, where Buddh International Circuit will host the F1 Grand Prix, October 30.
"There are few places in the world that we've never sambangi. For the first time, we will visit India for two concerts," a statement on Metallica's official website quoted the Super Sport. Besides appearing in Gurgaon, Metallica has ever won nine Grammy Awards is also a gig in the city of Bangalore on October 30.
Buddh circuit was built at a cost of 350 million U.S. dollars and will be the inaugural F1 series is staged in South Asia. This series could be postponed to accommodate the Bahrain GP, but in the end will be held as planned originally.
